La Befana Comes to Southington

This event is a cultural arts and community engagement project centered around a one-toothed puppet from ancient Italian folklore, who is on a mission to spread love and inspire unity one neighborhood (and cookie) at a time. 

Since the beginning of the pandemic, La Befana, in partnership with NYC Relief, has been engaging the public in a legendary storyline that blurs the lines between performer and audience as a way of cultivating connection and catalyzing change. 

And now accompanied by her friends Rosa Tatuata, a Sicilian and Southern Italian roots ensemble dedicated to preserving and sharing the rhythms and melodies of their ancestors, La Befana will not only share her "living legend" but will guide participants over a rhythmic and imaginal bridge to a future that includes everyone!
